Com prepare homemade soap with Used Oil
The oil is left in the house and pulled down the drain ends up in our rivers. Once there is a movie that does not allow oxygen and kills fish and aquatic plants. One liter of oil pollutes up to 50,000 gallons. In many cities there are the so-called "green points" where used oil is collected but there is always another alternative: make your own homemade soap.
Materials:
* Edible oil of any kind used: soybeans, sunflower seeds, olive, coconut. etc. We must pass through a fine strainer to remove impurities.
* A plastic paint bucket (25 liters)
* Wooden spoon for stirring.
* Molds.
* Water.
* Caustic soda or caustic soda (350 grams to be diluted in the same amount of water).
* Common Salt.
* Half cup of dishwasher or essences to give flavor to the soap.
* You can also use colors, but not recommend it.
How to make soap:
1 .- Save the used oil to put two and a half liters.
2 .- Fill a garbage with two gallons of water. To make colored bars of soap can be added to water coloring.
3 .- In a ventilated environment and with the help of a stick, dilute with water half a kilo of caustic soda and a handful of salt. There will be a chemical reaction "exothermic (heat) that requires a few hours until it cools. Beware of soda! must wear gloves and, if you can, just in case, protective granny glasses or something to protect you eyes.
4 .- slowly pour oil on the liquid mixture also called "caustic lye, stirring continuously (always in the same direction, because otherwise we can" cut "the soap).
Heat the mixture until it reaches the boiling point and held for two hours this treatment for the purposes of producing the "saponification" of fats. This chemical reaction is the sodium combining lye with fatty acids from oils to shape a "soluble organic salt," which we know as soap.
If you want to make soap, with essences added herbs or other natural flavors after the mixture drops below 40 º C.
5 .- When the mixture is thick, is poured into molds and allowed to harden for several days.
6. Soaps are removed from the molds. You can also put the mixture on a large platter. She was allowed to stand before you run totally hard cut into bars with a common shear. To make it more comfortable off the molds they can be dusting or cover with oil.
Notes:
The coconut oil gives large bubbles, fluffy lather even in salt water, but soap with coconut oil can be a rough skin in some people. Olive oil gives very fine bubbles, silky. This oil is very good for the skin.
At first, soap color is oily, but eventually laundered. One must wait about four days before using soap.
